I'd like to build up the anticipation and do my weekend in parts, but I just don't have the patience. So you'll have to endure this mile-long post.
: )
FRIDAY
Senior Skip Day. I went to Seminary (cause who would ever
choose to miss a lesson from Brother Black?) then went to the Pratt's to do my Saturday job on Friday. Once that was done I went back to school for the last 5th Hour Lunch Crew BBQ party of the year. My belly enjoyed a delicious burger. Afterwards, Jess, Bri, Dallin, Cameron and myself went to Jess' and picked up food for the Seminary Closing Social. Then we got pop at WINCO and headed to Leslie Groves for a partaayyy! I skipped rocks, watched volleyball and ultimate Frisbee, ate some good food, played on the toy, went down to the dock, and sat on a swing with my homies.
While all of this was happening, my friends and I were plotting how to keep Kelci occupied before her surprise graduation/birthday/going-away party. She was being more than difficult. But we won't go into that.
After the social, the Core Four & a half (Ethan apparently sees himself as half a person) went to Maui's Apple then to Jess' after that. Right on schedule, Kelci's parents called and told her to get ice cream from Fred Meyer's and come home to see her uncles. She was not happy. We told her we'd still be at Jess' and for her to come back later that night. The second she shut the door we were up, putting on our shoes, grabbing our keys and hurrying to my car. We piled in and sped to Kelci's house. We parked around the corner and met up with everyone else in the garage.
No more than 6 minutes later Kelci showed up. This is what she said "Is this for me?". Then she saw the four of us and got even more confused. It was priceless.
The theme of the party was Casino Robertson. It was a blast. I'm now pro at black jack. I made $3,225 playing that game. I left with candy, $10 and a DQ gift card. Kelci's parents
definitely know how to throw a party.
Once the party was over, the five of us went back to Jess' and taught Ethan how to wobble. We got
doowwwwn.
And that was my Friday : )
SATURDAY
Wow. Where to begin.
Maybe I should just tell my day in pictures and you can use your imagination.
Tandem bikes for miles.
Our last stop before returning the bikes
Coolest people you'll ever meet.
Precious
Before starting our scavenger hunt, we went to Frost Me Sweet.
Then we opened our first envelope for the scavenger hunt and found this:
You can put that in the Of Course file
Plank in the mall
Sit in a wheelchair at the hospital
Ride a skater's board
Feed the swans
Take a picture with a hot pink bowling ball
This was for the golf course challenge
Once the scavenger hunt was done Kelci split off and went to a family dinner.
Jess, Bri and myself went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and inhaled our food.
But before we could leave, I was forced onto the saddle while everyone in the place looked on.
A server yelled out my name, age, and asked for a big Texas Roadhouse YEEHAAHH!!!
It was traumatizing.
Afterwards, we went bowling with Kelci, then out looking for a scary movie.
This was the first movie we came upon:
Jess hates scary movies.
Coincidence?
We got the movie "Obsessed" and watched it at my place.
Then we said our goodbyes and the night was over.
Definitely the best birthday I've ever had.
Hands down.
SUNDAY
The real birthday. I slept in, got all cute, then went to a wonderful sacrament meeting. After church we had a presidency meeting at my house. Then I got to talk to some family on the phone. We proceeded to have family dinner and open presents.
I scored big time.
Cake and ice cream to come later : )
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.
*Side note* while at Texas Roadhouse, I saw an Elder that was recently transferred out of my ward. We never got to say goodbye. So that was a nice surprise : ) He was very excited to see me. >girlish giggle<
